Pathways to Learning Conference, 8th November 2006
The COLICO Pathways to Learning conference took place on 8th November, 2006, at the National Library of Ireland.
Supported by An Chomhairle Leabharlanna (The Library Council), LISC Northern Ireland, the Consortium of National and University Libraries (CONUL), and The National Library of Ireland, the conference addressed the challenges of widening access to the rich resources of libraries in all sectors in the island of Ireland.
The conference included presentations on the successful INSPIRE programme, including the cross-border FOYLE project and on challenges facing libraries from a variety of perspectives in realising a similar ambition. The keynote address was presented by Senator Maurice Hayes, former Ombudsman for Northern Ireland.
