Building on the success of the Financial Regulator initiative, An Chomhairle co-operated with ComReg, the statutory body responsible for the regulation of the electronic communications and postal sectors, to promote the agency’s public information services through information clinics and free access to Comreg’s consumer websites www.callcosts.ie and www.askcomreg.ie.

Information clinics were also held in Athlone library, Tallaght library, and Wexford Town library.
All the libraries visited received copies of all ComReg’s plain English consumer guides which offer information about specific topics such as complaints, cold calls, phone and broadband contracts, switching landline phone service provider, and the universal service obligation.
