In November An Chomhairle and The Citizens’ Information Board launched Library Links, a campaign to promote free access to the Citizens Information website.
www.citizensinformation.ie provides comprehensive information on all aspects of public services and entitlements for citizens in Ireland.
Containing information from various government departments and agencies, the service aims to make sure that citizens have all the information they need, presented in an easy-to-understand way.
The site has been specially designed around the needs of users for those times in life when information about rights and how to apply for State services in Ireland are most needed.
The Library Links campaign made the citizensinformation.ie website freely available from Internet access PCs in public libraries across the country.

As part of the campaign the Citizens’ Information Board provided training to public library staff under An Chomhairle’s Public Library Staff Training Programme.
