COLICO recognises the importance of inter-library lending and document supply as common forms of library co-operation. Irish libraries co-operate with the committee by providing data on their document supply and inter-library loans traffic which are included in the statistics, which are analysed and published in the COLICO Annual Report.
Irish Joint Fiction Reserve Scheme
An Chomhairle, on behalf of COLICO, administers the Irish Joint Fiction Reserve Scheme, a distributed collection of out-of-print novels and short stories written in English and Irish, which libraries in Ireland have developed since 1965. Reservation cards, promotional material and additional information about the scheme are available from An Chomhairle.
