Europe Direct
An Chomhairle Leabharlanna is delighted to be working with the European Commission to support the Europe Direct Information Centres for the period 2009 - 2012.
There are 8 centres at Blanchardstown, Dundalk, Letterkenny, Killarney, Carraroe, Ballinasloe, Thurles and Waterford City libraries. The current centres were launched at Dundalk Library by Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government John Gormley T.D., on 19th June 2009.

Each centre provides information on the EU free of charge and carries a stock of publications and brochures from EU institutions. Visitors can access computers to search for EU material and a freephone link to the Europe Direct Helpdesk is provided.
